EXOSOMES

What are Exosomes?

Exosomes are gaining popularity in aesthetics for their rejuvenating benefits.

Exosomes are tiny vesicles "messengers" that are being explored for their potential to boost the body’s natural regenerative processes. They carry biomoecules such as RNA, proteins and lipids and so play a crucial role in activities like tissue repair. By delivering these molecules to the cells that need them, exosomes can kickstart rejuvenation, enhance skin texture, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Exosomes are generally microneedled in to the area of concern but can be applied topically.

  • Promoting new hair growth

Are there any side effects?

You can expect to see initial results after 24 hours, with optimal results after 3-6 treatments.

Usually around 30 minutes.

Side effects are minimal. You may experience some skin dryness, redness, tightness and itching but these tend to go away by themselves within a day or two.

Where can I have the treatment?
Is it painful?
Can I have treatment on the same day?

The treatment can be carried out anywhere on the body, however the usual use of exosomes is to treat concerns regarding the face and scalp.

It feels slightly scratchy and is more tender on the forehead - this is from the microneedling, but it isn't painful. If necessary we can use topical numbing cream prior to the treatment. Our aim is to keep you as comfortable as possible during your treatment.

It is always recommended to have a consultation first and then a “contemplation period” where you can make an informed decision. However, it is possible to discuss and treat on the same day if preferred.

Where do you get exosomes from?
Is it safe?

The exosomes we use are from the gonads of salmon.

Yes, exosomes have low levels of free radicals and impurities.
